We work collaboratively with our public-purpose clients to build stronger, more resilient communities. By helping to design better systems, policies, services, and capabilities, we ensure our partners achieve outcomes that truly matter to the people they serve. As a partner to government, our mission is to build internal capability and long-term resilience. We provide clients with the essential skills and strategic support needed to foster more secure, equitable, and prosperous communities across the nation. Our Specialist Practices You will have the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders within our core specialist teams: Transformation: Driving systemic change and modernising public service delivery. Risk, Programs & Cyber: Safeguarding public infrastructure and managing complex programme delivery. Commercial, Financial & Infrastructure: Optimising public investments and advising on major nation-building projects.  Scyne’s Data & AI team brings together leading technical capability and real-world consulting expertise to solve complex business challenges. With a growing presence in Queensland, the team supports clients through large-scale transformation programs, leveraging data, analytics and AI to drive measurable impact and sustainable change. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a commercially minded and growth-oriented Director to establish and expand Scyne's Data & AI presence across the Queensland market. Rather than a traditional sales-focused role, this position is centred on building trusted client relationships and leading the delivery of impactful outcomes. You will play a key role in both securing and shaping engagements, with responsibility spanning business development, solution design, and delivery leadership. As the Queensland capability matures, the role will evolve toward an approximately 50/50 focus across market growth and client delivery. You will help organisations unlock the value of data, analytics, and AI through practical, outcome-focused solutions that support broader transformation and modernise public service delivery. Reporting to Practice Leadership, you will work closely with Scyne's Queensland market leaders and collaborate with experienced consultants across key government sectors including Transport, Health and Education. Together, you will identify opportunities, shape innovative solutions, and deliver programs that create lasting impact for communities across Queensland. You will also have the opportunity to build, lead and mentor a high-performing multidisciplinary team as the Queensland practice grows. Importantly, you will be supported by an established national capability, including: A dedicated team of approximately 30 data, analytics and data science specialists. A complementary capability of similar scale spanning AI engineering, software engineering and data architecture. An established Queensland markets team with deep public sector relationships and strong local market knowledge. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine market leadership, client engagement, strategic growth, and hands-on delivery while leveraging the strength of an established national Data & AI practice. What You’ll Do Drive Strategic Market Growth: Champion Scyne’s Data & AI presence across Queensland. You will cultivate senior executive relationships within government and public-purpose organisations to convert new, impactful opportunities. While QLD is your primary focus, you will also collaborate on nation-building projects across Australia. Deliver Holistic Transformation: Position data, analytics, and AI as core enablers of broader transformation, infrastructure, and strategic consulting engagements—never as isolated, standalone technical services. Build Trusted Public-Sector Partnerships: Leverage your existing Queensland network and Scyne’s warm introductions to build deep, trust-based relationships across government agencies. Lead Collaborative Delivery: Own the execution and outcomes of the projects you win. You will work side-by-side with our technical teams and senior public stakeholders to deliver practical, robust, and highly secure outcomes. Cultivate Multidisciplinary Talent: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of analysts, data scientists, AI engineers, software developers, and data architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance. Sustain Capability Growth: Craft compelling proposals, manage the business pipeline, and actively recruit and build the team around you as our presence expands.
