Please click here for the Job Description.  What You’ll Be Doing Lead and mentor a team of Environmental Health Officers, fostering professional growth, consistent decision-making in a high-performance team culture. Collaborate with fellow Senior Environmental Health Officers to deliver team objectives and, when required act in the Coordinator role. Coordinate the inspection and surveillance program for statutory premises, as well as complaint response and investigations, prioritised according to public health risk. Oversee technical assessments, compliance activities and enforcement actions in accordance with relevant public and environmental health legislation. Contribute to the review, development and continuous improvement of operational procedures, systems and service delivery practices. Support the delivery of operational priorities, projects, business plans and strategic initiatives, while proactively responding to emerging public health issues and regulatory change. What You’ll Bring We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative and motivated environmental health professional who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for leadership and achieving risk-based public health outcomes.  The successful applicant will possess a tertiary qualification in Environmental Health, accredited by Environmental Health Australia), or a related discipline acceptable to the Chief Health Officer (via the WA Environmental Health Professional Review Board) You’ll ideally bring: Relevant Local Government and supervisory experience. High level of knowledge and understanding of the principles and practises of Environmental Health, including relevant legislative and statutory processes. Ability to exercise professional judgement and make decisions that are lawful, transparent, risk-based and accountable. Excellent written and verbal communications skills in negotiation, dispute resolution, and stakeholder relationship management at all levels. Extensive knowledge of the relevant legislation and statutory processes. Advanced skills using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
