Our Strategy and Performance team is responsible for integrated planning and reporting, advocacy and partnerships, organisational performance, risk management, strategic change and the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). About the Position This is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead the City's Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), developing and implementing a consistent Project Management Framework that supports the successful delivery of strategic projects and programs across the organisation. Reporting to the Service Lead Enterprise Planning and Performance, you will partner with stakeholders across the City to strengthen project governance, improve portfolio visibility, enhance reporting and build organisational project management capability. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered in a transparent, coordinated and well-managed manner while supporting the City's strategic objectives and long-term priorities. Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the City's Project Management Framework Establish and maintain project governance processes, stage gates and approvals across the organisation at the portfolio level Provide leadership, support and guidance to project managers and delivery teams. Develop and maintain project reporting, dashboards and portfolio insights for leadership and executive stakeholders Monitor project performance, identify emerging risks and support mitigation strategies Drive project assurance activities including reviews, audits and governance compliance  Facilitate stakeholder engagement and foster a culture of consistent project management practices Contribute to the ongoing development and maturity of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office. Position Description About You The following experience will help you succeed in this role, however if you don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience working within a PMO, project or program management environment Strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks and governance practices Proven ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and manage competing priorities. Strong analytical skills with experience preparing reports, dashboards and project insights Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills Experience with project management tools and systems such as MS Project, SharePoint or PMO365 will be highly regarded Experience in local government or a large, complex organisation will be advantageous.
